Building Bothell's Beloved Community

As your council member, Jenne:

Housing and Affordability
  • Supported middle housing and flexible zoning to allow more housing types

  • Partnered on Lot P South to increase affordable housing options

  • Championed the Housing Action Plan to guide future housing development

 
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)
  • Supported the creation and implementation of the City's DEI roadmap

  • Advocated to center the city's policies in Martin Luther King Jr.'s concept of Building the Beloved Community

  • Supported the establishment of a DEI public advisory group to ensure community input and accountability

 
Community Well-being
  • Expanded crisis response and crisis stabilization services

  • Advocated for the creation of the first crisis stabilization center in North King County

  • Contributed to creating a complete crisis continuum of care in the region

  • Invested in Human Services Grants to better serve the needs of our community

  • Approved ARPA funds for community mental health services

Public Safety
  • Encouraged the creation of the Bothell Police Community Advisory Committee

  • Supported improving police and fire dispatch services through partnering with NORCOM

  • Celebrated Bothell Police's re-accreditation and participation in executive leadership training

  • Invested in administrative leadership for Bothell Fire Department

  • Supported the implementation of therapeutic courts for misdemeanor offenses

  • Invested in school zone license plate readers to ensure safer walking routes for students

 
Transportation and Infrastructure
  • Collaborated with the community for a city-wide bike plan

  • Promoted safe streets, and sidewalk improvements

  • Worked to improve transit connections for better accessibility and mobility

 
Economic Vitality
  • Championed activating downtown Bothell with local markets, including Pop Shops

  • Advocated for the Economic Vitality Plan to strengthen local business growth

  • Celebrated our vibrant community with Endless Summer Nights events put on by the Parks department

 
Environmental Sustainability
  • Worked to preserve Shelton View Forest for future generations

  • Supported salmon habitat restoration at Wayne Golf Course with native plant species

  • Championed the Climate Action Plan and Urban Forestry initiatives to promote environmental stewardship

 
Civic Engagement and Leadership
  • Supported ongoing access to hybrid public meetings and preserved access to virtual public comment

  • Increased community engagement through pre-meeting newsletters

  • Earned an Advanced Certificate of Municipal Leadership through the Association of Washington Cities

  • Served on AWC's State and Legislative Priorities Committees

  • Contributed nationally on the Human Development Committee with the National League of Cities
